Battaglini Winery
About Battaglini Winery Commercial Project
One of the original permitted wineries in Sonoma County in the late 1800s. Battaglini Estate Winery is a rustic, family owned and operated boutique winery located in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County. Battaglini Winery has some of the oldest vines in the United States as their Zinfandel and Petite Sirah vines were originally brought over from Tuscany way back in 1885.
The founder, Giuseppe “Joe” Battaglini, was raised in Lucca, Italy, and remembered running through the vineyards of Tuscany as a
child. Joe learned the wine business from his grandfather, Giulio.
We removed the old winery that still had the steam engine belt fed grape crusher destemmer and press in it. We also removed three young barn owls and relocated them to a bird sanctuary. We then proceeded to replace the old barn with a 12,000sf modern facility with a tasting room in the front and offices above.
